Job Purpose

Responsible for the cash and banking reconciliations for approximately 100 surgeries.

To ensure that the banking at the Vet practices is accurate and complete.

To provide a high level of service and support for our Partners and surgery colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • To develop a professional relationship with allocated surgeries to build respect and credibility of the cash and banking service.

  • Responsible for collating all banking sheets from the surgeries on a weekly basis.

  • Ensure all banking sheets are checked to confirm they are correct and to support the surgeries in resolving any errors.

  • Ensure all the takings are posted onto the Open Accounts system within 3 working days.

  • Responsible for reconciling the takings, checking takings correct against surgery expectations within set timescales.

  • To work with the surgeries to resolve any banking errors or queries to a satisfactory conclusion, on a timely basis.

  • Handling day to day queries with the surgeries.

  • To support the Cash and Banking team with any other requirements as and when they arise.

Person Specification
Requirements for the Role


  • Preferred:
    • AAT (part or qualified)


  • Experience of working within an accounts environment is advantageous although not essential.

Skills and Knowledge:


  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Sound Excel skills and knowledge of other MS Office applications
