We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse

Our vibrant small animal practice based in the Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, professional team.  You will join our existing nursing team of five – made up of wonderful RVNs, and the students we all love to nurture.

When we say team – we mean it!  Anyone who joins us is carefully selected to make sure we all enjoy each other’s company and coming to work every day.  Everyone applying will be an RVN – what will set you apart is your cool head, your patient and kind demeanour, your willingness to learn something new, and a sense of humour that knows no bounds.  If you’ve not already undertaken Clinical Coach training, it is important that you see it in your future as we value this qualification in all of our RVNs – and of course the practice will fund and support this endeavour.

Person Specification

Our modern surgery has state of the art equipment including nurse-lead laser clinics, sevoflurane anaesthetics, digital x-ray, ultrasound, capnography, in-house laboratory – all of which we’re happy to help you brush up on as required.  We’re proud to be able provide our clinical team with the excellent facilities they need to allow them to deliver veterinary care with a dedicated dual focus of high clinical standards and exceptional customer service;  this also includes a full support team of receptionists, an animal care assistant, and an insurance administrator.

We welcome interest from candidates seeking a full-time (40 hours/wk) starting as soon as possible. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties but your rota hours will include one in three weekends in the surgery (Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 10:30am-4:30pm) when you will work with a second nurse as well as a vet and two receptionists – the focus is always on letting our nurses be great nurses.
